He was borned on a village named Churulia in Burdwan, west bengal. In 1899, 24 May (1306 BS) and on 1976, 29th August (1383 BS) he left breath on DHAKA PG HOSPITAL (Institute of Post Graduate Medicine and Research / now BSMM University). His father "Kazi Fakir Ahmed" was "imam" of a mosque (died in 1908). He was called the 'rebel poet'. Nazrul fought against the communalism, imperialism, fundamentalism and exploitation of British colonial government.
He had to left study many times for poverty, On 1915 he restarted his study from class VI-X on Raniganj Searsole Raj School but was not able to took part in test for Entrance examination.
In 1917 he joined Army . He was there till March-April 1920 (two and a half year)
